This 18-hour interactive course is designed for anyone who spends time in the wild or for anyone who has an interest in improving their medical skills. Class size is strictly limited to 20 students. For class, bring a comfortable chair, clothing suitable for the conditions, a notebook, and a headlamp. Day and night scenarios are a critical learning tool for this material. All classes are conducted rain or shine. Come prepared!
Curriculum Covers: Basic Anatomy and Physiology, Patient Assessment Skills, Recognizing and Treating Soft Tissue Injuries, Muscle and Bone Injuries, Head and Spinal Injuries, Thermal Injuries, Recognizing and Treating Shock, Medical Emergencies in the Wild, Bites, Stings and Envenomations, Environmental Exposure, Emergency Carries and Improvised Litters.
There are no prerequisites for this program. Certification is valid for two (2) years.
