This 18-hour private interactive course is designed specifically for Trail Life USA SC Troop 0110. If you are not affiliated with Trail Life USA Troop SC 0110, you will not be allowed to attend the program. Class size is strictly limited to 10 students. For class, bring your typical camping gear, a comfortable chair, clothing suitable for the conditions, a notebook, and a headlamp. Day and night scenarios are a critical learning tool for this material. All classes are conducted rain or shine, so come prepared!
Curriculum Covers: Basic Anatomy and Physiology, Patient Assessment Skills, Recognizing and Treating Soft Tissue Injuries, Muscle and Bone Injuries, Head and Spinal Injuries, Thermal Injuries, Recognizing and Treating Shock, Medical Emergencies in the Wild, Bites, Stings and Envenomations, Environmental Exposure, Emergency Carries and Improvised Litters.
CPR training is NOT included in this program. However, it is being offered as an add-on class which will take place at the conclusion of the WFA training. Please register separately for the CPR class if you need the training. Certification is valid for two (2) years.
